The Fern Hill Historic Business District

Formally organized in 1997, the Fern Hill Historic Business District is comprised of business and property owners in the district as well as representatives of other community groups and institutions who are committed to promoting the area as a great place to shop, work and play.
Members organize various special events during the year designed to attract visitors to the district, including the popular Fern Hill Festival and Car Show every August and the district’s annual holiday tree lighting and celebration in Fern Hill Square.
We want to develop the district into a safe and enjoyable place for people to work, shop and live. We have a lot to offer our neighbors and all of Tacoma.
Our goals are:
1. Enhance economic stability and growth in the Fern Hill Historic Business District
2. Create an atmosphere where business activity flourishes
3. Build a framework of support for projects which will build healthy public relations in the Fern Hill Community.
How to find us? We’re not a big district so slow down to be sure you don’t miss us! The Fern Hill Business District is located in the south end of Tacoma, between Yakima and Park avenues from 82nd to 86th streets
